How to check OS version: Settings, General, About, Version.
For iPod Touch 1G:
Step 0. Check your OS version, if it is already 3.1.3, then go to step 3 directly.
Step 1. Download the iPod Touch 1G, 3.1.3(7E18): iPod1,1_3.1.3_7E18_Restore.ipsw(230,155KB) from http://www.felixbruns.de/iPod/firmware/
Step 2. Open itune 9, connect touch with pc, shift+recovery, open the iPod1,1_3.1.3_7E18_Restore.ipsw, recover....(Note, please back up your own data first.)
Step 3. Connect itouch onto internet via wifi, safari, jailbreakme.com, slide, wait until see the cydia icon.
Step 4. Cydia, add two sources: http://cydia.hackulo.us, http://yosion.net/cydia/
Step 5. Still in cydia, install AppSync3.1 under hackulo.us, install YosionApp 3.1 under yosion.net, Yosion and YsSMS icons seen.
Step 6. Lock the itouch, plug in the Apple Peel 520 with sim card and battery installed.
Step 7. Press and hold the power botton of the Apple Peel 520 for 5 seconds, music heard.
Step 8. Unlock the itouch, GSM singal icon seen, Apple Peel Battery icon seen, done.
Step 9. Enjoy.
For iPod Touch 2G:
Step 0. Check your OS version, if it is already 3.1.3 or 4.0 or 4.0.1, then go to step 3 directly. If it is 4.0.2 or 4.1 or above, please try to find a jailbreak solution by yourself. then go to step 3
Step 1. Download the iPod Touch 2G, 3.1.3(7E18): iPod2,1_3.1.3_7E18_Restore.ipsw from http://www.felixbruns.de/iPod/firmware/
